Eaton MVCTC Middle School Students Bring Robots to Life Through Coding

Students in Eaton MVCTC Middle School’s Automation & Robotics class, led by Ms. Ferriell, are developing coding skills by programming robots to complete interactive tasks.

As part of the project, students are learning to code their robots to perform a shuffling dance when a button is pressed, combining programming logic with hands-on engineering.

Eighth-grade student John Corrick took the project a step further by enhancing his robot’s capabilities. In addition to programming it to dance, he added remote control functionality and the ability to display messages on a screen.

This hands-on experience allows students to build problem-solving, coding, and engineering skills while bringing their creations to life.
