Nominations Open for the 2027 MVCTC Hall of Fame
The Miami Valley Career Technology Center is accepting nominations for its 2027 Hall of Fame induction. Nominations open Monday, September 21, and must be submitted by Friday, October 16, 2026.
Established in 1991, the MVCTC Hall of Fame honors alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions and communities. Hall of Fame inductions are held every five years, and a maximum of ten individuals may be selected for each class.
Who Is Eligible?
Nominees must be completers of the former Montgomery County Joint Vocational School or Miami Valley Career Technology Center. Eligible alumni may include completers of:
- High school career-technical programs
- Adult Education programs
- Youth Connections
- Satellite programs
Satellite students must have completed at least three of their four high school years in the same career pathway.
At the time of nomination, candidates must have at least five years of professional experience following graduation. They must also demonstrate continued education, specialized training, or professional development after completing their MVCTC or MCJVS program.
How Candidates Are Evaluated
Hall of Fame candidates are evaluated on:
- Postsecondary education, training, and professional development
- Professional accomplishments and career advancement
- Community service and philanthropy
- Recognition by professional peers or industry organizations
An independent panel of outside judges appointed by the MVCTC Superintendent selects the inductees. MVCTC faculty and staff do not serve on the judging panel.
Preparing a Complete Nomination
Nominators should provide complete, detailed information describing the candidate’s career, accomplishments, leadership, and community contributions.
Required supporting materials include:
- A current résumé detailing the candidate’s career progression and milestones
- Supporting recommendation letters from individuals such as peers, co-workers, supervisors, teachers, or community members
Nominations that do not include the completed form and all required supporting materials will be considered incomplete and will not advance to the evaluation process.
The selected honorees will be inducted into the MVCTC Hall of Fame in March 2027.
Nominations close at midnight on October 16, 2026.
