MVCTC Welcomes Future Students for Annual Sophomore Career Days, December 2–4, 2025

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is excited to welcome sophomores from its 27 partner school districts for the annual Sophomore Career Days, scheduled for December 2–4, 2025.

Over these three days, visiting sophomores will have the unique opportunity to explore MVCTC’s 40+ career-technical programs. Each visiting student will spend a day on campus, experiencing two different career programs to help them discover where their interests and talents align. The goal of these visits is to assist students in making informed decisions about which career pathway they may wish to pursue during their junior and senior years of high school.

Important Information for Current MVCTC Parents and Students

During these three days, a majority of current MVCTC students will not attend regular classes on campus. Some students may be asked to assist MVCTC staff with visiting sophomores and serve as program ambassadors. Students who are not assisting will be provided with alternate assignments that will count as their school day for December 2–4.

Sophomore Open House – December 4, 2025

The week’s events will conclude with the annual Sophomore Open House on Thursday, December 4, from 4:30–7:00 p.m.

MVCTC will open its doors for sophomores and their parents to tour the campus, meet instructors, and learn more about the wide variety of career-technical programs available. This event provides families a firsthand look at how MVCTC prepares students for both college and in-demand careers across the Miami Valley region.
