Miami Valley Career Technology Center proudly recognizes and celebrates the dedicated staff members retiring following the 2025-2026 school year. Collectively, these individuals represent decades of service, leadership, and commitment to students, staff, and the MVCTC community. Their impact has helped shape generations of learners and strengthen the culture of excellence that defines MVCTC.
Lanna Anspach
Lanna Anspach has served MVCTC since 2009 with compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to student well-being. Her calm presence and genuine care for others made a lasting difference throughout the district.
Tonya Barnett
Tonya Barnett retires after 20 years as a Pre-Nursing instructor at MVCTC. Her passion for healthcare education prepared students with both technical skills and the compassion needed to succeed in the healthcare field.
Sharon Bergman
Sharon Bergman began her career at MVCTC in 1997 as a part-time clerical substitute before becoming a full-time employee in 2003. Since 2009, she has served as Cashier/Accounts Receivable Specialist in the Treasurer’s Department, where her dedication and expertise have been invaluable.
Doug Bowermeister
Doug Bowermeister, a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and MCJVS, began teaching at MVCTC in 1996. His passion for precision, problem-solving, and student growth left a lasting impact on both students and colleagues.
Ray Caruthers
Ray Caruthers concludes an extraordinary career in education marked by visionary leadership, professional excellence, and a steadfast commitment to student success. Serving in roles ranging from teacher to executive educational leader, he has influenced education at the classroom, district, state, and national levels.
Blaine Heeter
Blaine Heeter’s 13 years of service to MVCTC reflect a career built on leadership, advocacy, and a lifelong commitment to career-technical education.
Tracy Hetrick
Tracy Hetrick retires after 25 years as a School Counselor at MVCTC. Since joining the district during the 2001-2002 school year, Tracy has been a trusted source of support, guidance, and compassion for students and families.
Kelly Kramer
Kelly Kramer began at MVCTC as a substitute during the 1997-1998 school year before becoming a full-time career-technical educator. Bringing extensive construction industry experience and business ownership knowledge, Kelly consistently placed students first and modeled professionalism and a strong work ethic.
Sharon Maurice
Sharon Maurice taught at the Franklin Monroe MVCTC Business Satellite program.
Deborah Retman
Deborah Retman retires after 9.5 years at MVCTC and an impressive 41 years in education. Her dedication to students and learning has made a meaningful impact throughout her career.
Maureen Suttman

Jeff Waugh
Jeff Waugh joined MVCTC in 2015 after serving as a counselor at Carlisle Local Schools. Throughout his time at MVCTC, he guided and supported countless students with care and dedication.
Brenda Wheat
After more than three decades in education, 31 of those at MVCTC, Brenda Wheat leaves behind a legacy defined by dedication, collaboration, and a deep commitment to student success.
Mike Williams
Academic Instructor Mike Williams retires after 40 years of service to MCJVS/MVCTC. Since joining the district in 1986, Mike has taught English, Government, Economics, U.S. History, and World History, becoming known for his thoughtful instruction and ability to connect lessons to the world around students.
Tonya Wiltshire
Tonya Wiltshire joined MVCTC in 2009 and brought exceptional leadership and nursing expertise to the Pre-Nursing program. Her commitment to student success and healthcare education will continue to influence future generations.
