MVCTC Earns 5-Star Ratings on Ohio’s Career Technical Planning District Report Card

The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) is proud to announce outstanding results on the recently released Ohio Career Technical Planning District (CTPD) Report Cards, earning 5-star ratings across multiple components and meeting all nine federal performance indicators.

The CTPD Report Cards, developed by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, evaluate the success of career-technical districts in preparing students for careers, post-secondary education, and life after high school. These ratings reflect MVCTC’s commitment to delivering rigorous academics, technical skill development, and real-world career preparation.

MVCTC Highlights from the 2024-2025 CTPD Report Card:

  • Achievement – 4 Stars: 88.4% The Achievement component measures the skills and knowledge learned in students' career-technical programs using aligned technical assessments and academic achievement, using each level of performance on Ohio's State Tests.

  • Career & Post-Secondary Readiness – 5 Stars: Significantly exceeds state standards, with students excelling in advanced coursework, work-based learning, and industry-recognized credentials.

  • Graduation – 5 Stars: A 98.4% four-year graduation rate and a 98.8% five-year graduation rate.

  • Post-Program Outcomes – 5 Stars: 98.2% of concentrators are employed, enrolled in further education, pursuing apprenticeships, or participating in military/service programs within six months of graduation.

  • Federal Performance Indicators – 9/9 met: Demonstrating MVCTC’s alignment with federal Perkins V accountability measures.

Financial Excellence at MVCTC
In addition to outstanding academic and career readiness results, MVCTC ranked among the top Career Technical Planning Districts in Ohio for financial stewardship. According to the latest report card, 76.4% of MVCTC’s funds are dedicated directly to classroom instruction, a level significantly higher than the state average. Among Joint Vocational School Districts of similar size, MVCTC placed 2nd out of 19, demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring resources are prioritized where they matter most—supporting student learning and success.
